49ers vs Vikings in Mexico City

49ers vs Vikings outlook

The San Francisco 49ers will take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 11 in Mexico City. The city is otherwise known as the land of taxis (as it has 140,000 taxis). It’s also the most populated city in North America. To be fair, it’s also not the cleanest city. It makes San Francisco look spotless.

The Vikings have won the prior two games against the 49ers. In 2014, the Vikings QB was Sam Darnold. In 2023, the Vikings QB was none other than Captain Kirk Cousins. Clearly, Darnold is a 49ers killer, whether he’s with the Vikings or Seattle Seahawks. He holds the upper ground, as he’s 2-1 in a Hawks uniform against the 49ers last season. He holds a passer rating of 96.1 against the 49ers. He looks like Vikings legendary QB Fran Tarkenton against the 49ers.

Let it be known that Darnold was once on the dark side. He played with the 49ers in 2023.

It wasn’t a welcome home party for former 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh last season. The Vin Diesel-like figure didn’t have an answer for the creative Seahawks offense ran by Klint Kubiak.

The 49ers menace at QB was Brock Purdy in 2024 and 2023. He wasn’t able to succeed by “handing the ball off”. Those days may have worked with Jimmy G, but the 49ers aren’t well-rounded enough to make that happen now.

I hope the two squads don’t stay in a hostel in the city. However, it may be nice to dabble in the culture a little and get a sandwich for 50 cents.

I recommend learning some Spanish for Starbucks and McDonalds. This way you don’t have to use fingers to point to everything.

49ers vs Rams: Week 1 in Australia

49ers vs Rams

By: Jake Rajala

Australia is known for a lot of interesting things. First off, they may have the sexiest accents. It sounds like Beethoven when the Australia native Hugh Jackson talks. They are also known to have kangaroos. These kangaroos look like an NFL linebacker. Sadly, they are often killed and eaten.

With that said, some may wonder why I brought up these remarks. Well, there will be a first ever NFL game in Australia in Week 1. It will be the 49ers against the Rams. These two teams are in the same division and they happen to be Super Bowl contenders. It’s like Apollo and Rocky.

Australia also happens to have the best Opera house in the world. I know that may sound like nails on the chalk board to someone like George Kittle or Nick Bosa.

It’s possible.

Heavy populated countries that haven’t hosted a football game can fall in love with the game. 14 million people are football fans in the UK, after its first game in 2007.

This game will take place in a cricket stadium. Of course, that sport is more delicate and it doesn’t come with CTE like football.

It would be fitting if AC/DC, which came from Sydney in 1973, did a half-time show. Perhaps Australia born country singer Keith Urban could kick off the game, too.

People in Australia like espressos as much as me and your average Finland native. Alcohol is also a big deal. It’s the most widely used drug. Don’t tell anyone that drinking is popular, as Matthew Stafford loves to chug beers, and have a good time.
