What has happened to Dak Prescott?

Reflecting on Dak Prescott

By: Jake Rajala

The Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback remains Dak Prescott, despite struggles on the field. Do I love their situation with Dak? Absolutely not. He threw one touchdown to two interceptions last week and then one touchdown to two interceptions the week before. Neither of those teams have the “Dome Patrol” or the “1985 Bears defense”. Dak’s best friend, Micah Parsons, wasn’t even suited up for his game against the Boys.

The Cowboys have two prolific wideouts (CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens), and Dak still can’t put up a serious fight. Tony Romo would even trade Dez Bryant for “two” elite wide receivers. There’s excuses to go all around, though. Each QB only has two playoff wins.

Prescott is 33 years old. He’s not old enough to be washed up yet. He’s nine years younger than Aaron Rodgers! He’s not young enough for the Cowboys cheerleaders, though.

There are a couple of faces that may be the cure for the Boys struggles. Troy Aikman could come out of the booth and help make personal decisions. Jerry Jones can be a better right hand man than Joe Buck.

The Boys called Jon Kitna and brought him out of retirement. He was a high school teacher and coach. So, anything is on the table, when it comes to pulling QBs off the couch. It doesn’t have to be Tom Brady or bust. The Boys can bring in a modest QB that can push Prescott and make him feel a little nervous about keeping his job. Perhaps the lively Paul Crewe would be an exciting addition.
