Will Hutch win DPOY this upcoming season?

The top NFL player from Michigan on defense had to be Charles Woodson in the early 21st century. After all, he is the only defender to win the Heisman winner.
A former Michigan defensive back came along in 2017 by the name of Jabril Peppers. The difference is that Peppers has 7 career interceptions and Woodson has had four seasons of at least 7 interceptions.
Woodson isn’t the last hope for elite NFL defenders from Michigan. Aidan Hutchinson has really dazzled in his young career thus far. He had 14.5 sacks last season! We all remember Ziggy Ansah. Well, Ziggy had 48 sacks as a Lion. The difference is that it took Ansah eight years and Hutch already has 43 career sacks in half as much time!
Hutch is a flat out bully. He reminds everyone of a former Lions DL by the name of Ndamukong Suh. “Hutch” has been infamous for getting roughing the QB calls. He had a roughing the QB called against his former QB, J.J. McCarthy. It was so weak, that it looked like special treatment that a different former Michigan Wolverine QB would get. Of course, I’m talking about Tom Brady.
With that said, a fascinating question surrounds the “Thor-like figure”: Can he win DPOY in 2026?
Well, he certainly plays the right position. 6 of the past 10 DPOY winners were defensive ends. The Motor City won’t lose its touch if he doesn’t win DPOY in 2026. After all, he is only 25 years old! If he wears red contacts like former Lions defensive end, Kyle Vanden Bosch, then he may step it up a notch and bring home the hardware sooner than expected.
