Which QBs will sink in 2026?
By: Jake Rajala
The NFL season is around the corner. We will witness studs and we will watch players struggle. We are bound to see quarterbacks, who have the most pivotal position disappoint. With that said, I’m going to lay out a few QBs that will take a step back.
Daniel Jones
I’m not on the Daniel Jones train. He threw 19 touchdowns last season, which is nearly half as many touchdowns that Andrew Luck threw in 2014 (40) and 2018 (39). Jones also only played in 10 games in 2024 and 13 games in 2025. Perhaps he’s been hanging around RG3 too much. Jones also lost one of his best weapons in Michael Pittman Jr. I also don’t love that Jonathan Taylor failed to run more than 100 yards in his last seven games.
Jalen Hurts
Jalen Hurts will lose his partner in crime, A.J. Brown, later this offseason. Brown didn’t drive 100 mph by the Eagles stadium, as Brandon Aiyuk did. However, he did tell fantasy managers to “get rid of him” on Twitch stream. Hurts has a new toy in in Makai Lemon. I still believe the Eagles took a step back from Browns and Smith to Makai and Smith. Yes, I’m talking aout the wide receiver (Smith) who has the same frame as a JV WR. Saquon Barkley also lost a spark as he only had three 100 rushing yard games. The Madden curse may have taken its toll on Saquon. As far as the WR position, don’t even dream about Desean Jackson coming back.
CJ Stroud
It would be an understatement to say CJ Stroud didn’t finish his latest season on a high note. He had four turnovers his latest playoff contest. He made former Texans QB Matt Schaub look like an All-Pro. I don’t love that the Texans didn’t reel in a top-notch weapon for him. We witnessed Tyler Shough get Jordyn Tyson and Cam Ward get Carnell Tate. No, the former Texan DeAndre Hopkins doesn’t count as a quality weapon anymore.
