Get ready for Tyson Bagent

Case Keenum played lights out last week. He looked like the could steal the job away from Caleb Williams. You know what this got him: a backup role. That’s right. The man who made the “Minneapolis Miracle” happen will not be the QB1 until Williams returns. Sure, he’s the fourth oldest QB (at 38 years old). That doesn’t mean he’s as poor as fellow Philadelphia Eagles 38 year old QB Andy Dalton, who threw an interception on his first throw against the Bears.
Keenum could be a poor man’s version of Ryan Fitzpatrick. Outside of the Harvard education and beard, Keenum jumps around the league, too.
It appears Tyson Bagent will be the QB1 moving forward. No, I”m not talking about “Tyson Foods”. Tyson went undrafted in 2023. Perhaps he can rekindle some magic and play like other UDFA QBs, such as Kurt Warner and Tony Romo. It can be better to find a quality UDFA than a drafted QB like Jay Cutler.
The Bears are one of three teams with a winning record in the NFC North. Tyson is arguably the worst starting QB among the group. Jared Goff, Kyler Murray, and Jordan Love are the other QBs. You know what’s special about Bagent? He played D2. If Adam Thielen can shine as a D2 figure, then there’s hope for Tyson.
Ben Johnson is an offensive genius. If he could get the Detroit Lions to have the highest scoring offense once and the fifth scoring offense twice, he can push the right buttons to unlock Tyson.
