Should Von Miller return to Denver?

Will Miller return to Denver?

By: Jake Rajala

Von Miller, otherwise known as “Miller Time” is still a free agent. Let it be known that he’s 37 years old. It’s sad that Calais Campbell is 40 years old and he has already signed with a new team.

If the Broncos are going to target pass rushers over the age 35, they should target Sean Payton’s old friend on the Saints, Cameron Jordan. After all, Jordan has never been arrested (twice) like Miller.

Miller wasn’t quite well-rounded. He had a PFF grade of 64.4, which was 66th among edge defenders. The second best OLB on the Broncos had a PFF grade of 66.3.

The last time that Miller recorded double digit sacks was 2018. Hence, this was the same year that Black Panther showed up on the big screen.

The Broncos had the most sacks in the league last season. Miller could rotate in on third down, don’t get me wrong. Nonetheless, he isn’t going to be bullying opposing tackles or even tight ends at 245 pounds. That’s the same size as Colin Simmons, who is 20 years old, and he’s really still at the collegiate level.

In all seriousness, Miller will make the Hall of Fame in the end. He was MVP of the Super Bowl. After all, he played a Panthers QB (Cam Newton) that was scared to jump on the football. Of course, Newton wasn’t leaving it all out there for a Super Bowl ring and shot at getting a gold jacket.
