Will Jaxson Dart blossom?

Will Dart Blossom in year two?

By: Jake Rajala

Jaxson Dart may be an elite Star Wars fan, but he wasn’t an elite quarterback last season. He led the GMEN to an 4-8 record. He finished behind Tetaroia McMillan and Tyler Shough in OROY votes. Yes, I’m talking about the old man (Shough) that plays QB for the Saints.

The Giants wanted to avoid drafting a skill player that could wind up like Kadarius Toney, so they drafted an offensive lineman tenth overall in Francis Mauigoa. Yes, I’m talking about the Samoa born offensive lineman that could be the stunt double for Jason Momoa.

There was some clutch ability by Dart. After all, he had double the amount of wins by Jayden Daniels. He also had a better record than Eli Manning as a rookie (as he went 1-6 as a rookie with the Giants). Let’s not forget that Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson didn’t even have a win with the GMEN last season.

Let’s not forget about his running back (Cam Skattebo) that jokingly said CTE isn’t real. Cam is still the more athletic version of former Giants RB Peyton Hillis.

The Giants may not have a WR tandem as sexy as their once WR duo with Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz, but it is still lethal. I do worry that the young Malik Nabers is taking too much on his plate.

Jaxson needs more help from his defense, as they were 26th in PPG allowed last season. Michael Irvin and Justin Tuck have their eyes bleed from watching their old defense consistently crumble.

The Giants arguably made the best head coaching hire this offseason with John Harbaugh. He knows how to win a Super Bowl. He wouldn’t let his “little” brother beat him on the biggest stage.
