New WRs on the GMEN
By: Jake Rajala
The New York Giants went on a veteran wide receiver signing spree. They signed the Giants legend Odell Beckham Jr. Then they inked JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Braxton Berrios. I’m surprised they didn’t sign Victor Cruz, too.
The Giants new WRs have been eccentric, despite being washed up. JuJu loves tik tok videos more than my niece. OBJ likes to slap police officers on the butt.
Malik Nabers is only 22 years old, so let’s understand that he will be around for a long time, even if he misses another month to heal his knee. He could play if tomorrow was the Super Bowl. If Gregg Jennings or Terrell Owens can make plays on one leg, you bet that Nabers is athletic enough to do it.
Personally, I’d love to see the Giants sign Michael Thomas. He has a dog mentality and he’s well-rounded. He may tweet too much, but he has made up for it on the football field. He’s also 33 years old.
If they can bring in a young, quality WR2, they should have a fine well-rounded WR room. Beckham Jr, JuJu, and Berrios, could compete for the WR3 role. Beckham Jr. may be the WR1 in a flag football game, but not in a game with pads on and players playing for their jobs.
The Giants need to have quality WRs for their young QB Jaxson Dart. Dart went from known as a “Star Wars nerd” to President Trump’s best friend. If football fans can forget that Tom Brady liked Donald Trump, then I’m sure we can judge Dart for his action between the white lines.
I don’t expect OBJ, JuJu, or Berrios to be playing beyond 2026 with the Giants. There’s honestly a chance that they don’t make the 53 man roster in 2026.
