Tyler Shough vs Shedeur Sanders
By: Jake Rajala
Deshaun Watson is officially in concussion protocol. The Browns can’t escape a revolving door at their quarterback position. I’m sure that Watson wants to be available for a revenge game. Of course, the Browns play the Texans on November 15th.
With that said, all signs point toward Shedeur Sanders playing this Sunday. He is still trying to move on from his last name (Sanders). He can make some “wow” throws. However, he likes to scramble too much around the pocket. He is a poor man’s version of Archie Manning.
Shedeur has the most glorious chance to show he’s legit this weekend. He is squaring off against Tyler Shough. Of course, they were both drafted in 2025, despite the age of Shough (27). Neither QB was carved in gold coming out of college. Nobody was a safe, high draft picking out of college. Sanders was eigth in the Heisman voting and Shough didn’t even get any votes.
We know Shough has more production than Sanders thus far. He also plays the part off the field. Shough looks like he could be “Thad Castle” in Blue Mountain State. He has the hair for the role, but his biceps may need a little bit more work.
Shough is coming off the bye week. Every senior citizen needs a break from the field. All jokes aside, each QB is early in their career and repping the 2025 draft class. Shough has had a better taste of the field this season, as Sanders has 2 passing yards this season. We will see if Sanders is rusty.
