Saints vs Steelers in France

Saints vs Steelers outlook

By: Jake Rajala

The New Orleans Saints will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Paris, France. It is the first NFL game in Paris. France is known for cafes and art. French is also known as my easiest class in high school.

The Steelers beat the Saints in their last showdown. Andy Dalton was the Saints QB and Kenny Pickett was the Steelers QB. In other words, it a battle between a washed up QB (Dalton) and a rookie QB (Kenny Pickett). Dalton hasn’t had a winning record since 2015. Pickett isn’t throwing his helmet at Myles Garrett (like Mason Rudolph), but he has failed to thrive in each of his four NFL seasons.

Flash forward to 2026, there are a couple of intriguing QBs. The 26 year old Tyler Shough may be old for a second year QB. Well, the 42 year old Aaron Rodgers is quite old for a veteran QB! Paris is known for having lots of gypsies. Hence, Rodgers should fit right in.

There will still be a couple of Jags games in Europe. Just as we witness the Cowboys play too many Thanksgiving games, we watch the Jags play over seas.

We witness the NFL games try to expand in popularity across the globe. It’s similar to Formula 1 be more popular in the U.S. The only bloody difference is that F1 races are a thousand dollars to attend!

Paris is much more classy and intriguing for NFL players than the likes of Las Vegas or Mexico City in my opinion. The Eiffel tower is one of the most beautiful pieces of architecture in the world.

There aren’t many prominent French NFL players. The ones that stand out tend to be undrafted free agents.

Should the Cardinals bring in a new QB?

Would it be wise for the Cardinals to bring in a new QB?

By: Jake Rajala

To say the Arizona Cardinals quarterback spot is complex, would be a huge injustice to Cardinals nation. It was a catastrophe. The Kyler Murray experiment failed and Jacoby Brissett went 1-11 last season. Even Matt Leinart had a winning record of 3-2 in his second season. He won more games in a five game stretch than Brissett did in a 12 game streak. Nonetheless, it appears that it is Brissett’s job to lose entering this off-season.

Let it also be known that Brissett has never even had a winning record in his career. It doesn’t matter if he’s with the Cardinals, Patriots, Browns, Colts, or the Dolphins. As you can tell, he may have been hanging around Joshua Dobbs too much. Of course, Dobbs played for six different teams!

Minshew Mania had a magical rookie season, where he looked like the long-term QB for the Jags. He threw 21 touchdowns to six interceptions. Then he had a bigger sophomore slump than Jayden Daniels, where he went 1-7. Blake Bortles went further than Minshew in a Jags uniform. In 2023, he went 7-6 and threw 15 TDs to nine ints in 2019. He went to Raiders nation to die in 2024. He was given a golden opportunity and he went 2-7!

Carson Beck had a lot of success in college. He had a total NFL score of 74, which was fourth among QBs. He is the opposite of Anthony Richardson, who had a freak-ish pro day, but didn’t play “lights out” in college.

What happened to Mark Sanchez?

Reflecting on Mark Sanchez

By: Jake Rajala

The former fifth overall pick from the 2009 draft, Mark Sanchez has been on a roller coaster as of late. Just when we thought he was bizarre for eating a hot dog on the sideline, he runs into his own teammate’s butt.

Sanchez wasn’t exactly special on the field. He has only recorded two winning seasons. He has also failed to make a Pro Bowl. Sanchez could be compared to a “washed up Brett Favre”. In Sanchez’s rookie season, he unleashed 20 interceptions. Favre unleashed 22 interceptions in his lone season as a Jet.

Sanchez has only thrown more than 20 touchdowns on one occasion. Meanwhile, Jacoby Brissett came out of nowhere and unleashed 23 passing touchdowns last season!

Sanchez hasn’t exactly been a role model to young football fans, especially in the Big Apple. He faces charges for attacking a 69 year old truck driver. He faces a felony battery and multiple misdemeanors. He faces up to six years in prison.

Sanchez isn’t the first QB to face jail time. Former elite quarterback, Michael Vick, went to jail for 21 months. Of course, Paul Crewe (In The Longest Yard) also went to jail and was allowed to form a team “against” the guards.

Sanchez was somewhat following his coach’s footsteps. Rex Ryan was in a bar scuffle in 2017. Obviously, Sanchez took it to the extreme.

In the end, I hope Sanchez becomes a better person and that he is remembered for his finest work on the field. We all remember him beating the Cowboys as a Philadelphia Eagle on Thanksgiving.

Kyler Murray vs J.J. McCarthy

Murray vs McCarthy

By: Jake Rajala

J.J. McCarthy and Kyler Murray will duke it out for the keys to the starting quarterback role. If this was college, it wouldn’t be a debate. Former Texas A and M QB (Murray) won the Heisman while, former Michigan QB (J.J.) McCarthy took 10th in the Heisman vote. McCarthy let a sixth round pick from his alma mater (Michigan) QB outperform in the pros. Let’s forget that same QB won seven Super Bowls.

McCarthy threw more interceptions than touchdowns a season ago. That has never happened to Kyler in a single season.

Let it be known that J.J. was never benched. He played all the way into late December. In the end, he suffered a hairline fracture in his throwing hand. I’m not sure if there would be a difference in his ability with or without the injury.

I wouldn’t be surprised if free agent Taysom Hill would be a more productive QB than McCarthy. After all, Hill is 7-2 a starting QB.

Murray takes a lot heat for being short. He is only 5’10, which is the same height as Russell Wilson. Yet, everybody teases Wilson for his height. He is also the same height as a former Texas A and M QB, Johnny Manziel. I will agree that his height holds Manziel back.

Close your eyes, Cardinals fans. We may seem the highlight reels from Murray. Well, it should be noted that he wasn’t exactly a winner! Murray went 38-48-1, so he wasn’t quite as potent than Kurt Warner was for the Cards. Matter of fact, even Carson Palmer even went 38-21 with the Cardinals.

It would be an understatement to say that the Vikings missed Sam Darnold. He won the Super Bowl with the Seahawks, while they froze in a mid-west winter.

It may seem strange to hear that Murray and Herbert are the same age (28 years old). Murray entered the league in 2019, while Herbert came into the league in 2020. They both won OROY.

Is Jeremiyah Love set up to fail?

Will Love shine in Arizona?

By: Jake Rajala

Will Jeremiyah Love be a stud in Arizona like Larry Fitzgerald, or will be a bust like Josh Rosen? He is 20 years old right now. This doesn’t guarantee success at some point. Todd Gurley was young when he entered the draft and he sputtered out before turning 30. Of course, Derrick Henry is dismantling defenses at 32 years old. Frank Gore proved to be half human and play into his late 30. Hence, it’s not always easy to put a limit on a running back’s ceiling.

Love went to Notre Dame. Thankfully, it wasn’t “Arizona State”, where players like (former Sun Devil) Gronk party all day and all night. Family Guy does a beautiful job of showing the lifestyle of Gronk.

Love is from Missouri. Zeke Elliot is also from Missouri. Let it be known that Elliot has had three seasons of at least 1,300 rushing yards. Love should follow his path on the field and not get suspended off the field.

This means he’s from the same state that Walt Disney and Mark Twain are from. Love will have to be as legendary as Rudy at Notre Dame, if he wants to be recognized as one of the best from “Show-me-State”.

Love isn’t in the sexiest position. PFSN recently dubbed their OL as the 23rd best OL unit in the league. We witnessed Ashton Jeanty fail to even average over 4.0 YPC last season, largely due to his lackluster OL. We have witnessed even Barry Sanders struggle in big games when his OL struggled.

So, we know Love has high expectations. Does this mean that he will be the best NFL player with Love as the last name? Jordan Love is the other only prominent player with Love in their last name. Love has failed to make the Pro Bowl, so it may not be overly difficult for (Jeremiyah) Love to have a bigger impact at the pro level.

Mike Vrabel is a sick puppy

Reflecting on Mike Vrabel

By: Jake Rajala

Mike Vrabel, who looks like your local gym teacher, has been under the spotlight recently. He has had quite an interesting streak of events with a reporter by the name of Dianna Russini. He wasn’t spotted with Russini at an MLB game with the camera on them. However, they were spotted by TMZ, which is hell-bent on finding celebrity gossip.

It doesn’t look good for Dianna and Vrabel. If former President Bill Clinton can get impeached for cheating on Hillary, it’s not a major surprise that Dianna stepped down from her role as an analyst. I believe the talent from Vrabel and ties he has allows him to stay in the NFL. After all, he won Coach of the Year, last season.

If he skipped chest day, he may not be as attractive, as well.

Vrabel and Dianna rented a private boat while she was pregnant. He did his best “Jordan Belfort” impersonation.

This scandal is almost as depressing as a girl dancing on Urban Meyer. Perhaps Urban’s book, “Above the Line: Lessons in Leadership and Life from a Championship Season could teach a young athlete some bar lessons.

Vrabel learned a lot from Bill Belichick. After all, he played under BB. They both have taste in beautiful women. The difference is that Belichick likes them half as young.

Former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams got caught talking about injuring opposing and he still wounded up with a few jobs after the audio was released. Hence, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Vrabel gets another job if he gets fired from this mistake.

3 QBs that will take a step back in 2026

Which QBs will sink in 2026?

By: Jake Rajala

The NFL season is around the corner. We will witness studs and we will watch players struggle. We are bound to see quarterbacks, who have the most pivotal position disappoint. With that said, I’m going to lay out a few QBs that will take a step back.

Daniel Jones

I’m not on the Daniel Jones train. He threw 19 touchdowns last season, which is nearly half as many touchdowns that Andrew Luck threw in 2014 (40) and 2018 (39). Jones also only played in 10 games in 2024 and 13 games in 2025. Perhaps he’s been hanging around RG3 too much. Jones also lost one of his best weapons in Michael Pittman Jr. I also don’t love that Jonathan Taylor failed to run more than 100 yards in his last seven games.

Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts will lose his partner in crime, A.J. Brown, later this offseason. Brown didn’t drive 100 mph by the Eagles stadium, as Brandon Aiyuk did. However, he did tell fantasy managers to “get rid of him” on Twitch stream. Hurts has a new toy in in Makai Lemon. I still believe the Eagles took a step back from Browns and Smith to Makai and Smith. Yes, I’m talking aout the wide receiver (Smith) who has the same frame as a JV WR. Saquon Barkley also lost a spark as he only had three 100 rushing yard games. The Madden curse may have taken its toll on Saquon. As far as the WR position, don’t even dream about Desean Jackson coming back.

CJ Stroud

It would be an understatement to say CJ Stroud didn’t finish his latest season on a high note. He had four turnovers his latest playoff contest. He made former Texans QB Matt Schaub look like an All-Pro. I don’t love that the Texans didn’t reel in a top-notch weapon for him. We witnessed Tyler Shough get Jordyn Tyson and Cam Ward get Carnell Tate. No, the former Texan DeAndre Hopkins doesn’t count as a quality weapon anymore.

Will Russell Wilson return for 2026?

Will Wilson return for 2026?

By: Jake Rajala

Russell Wilson was benched in favor behind Jaxson Dart after a few games last season. He became the third string quarterback after Jameis Winston last season. We’re talking about the same Winston that had pre-game speeches where he eats his fingers. Obviously, Winston still threw 30 interceptions in a single season.

Wilson went looking like Steve Young with impressive throwing ability on the run to looking lost and somewhat slow to his old self outside of the pocket. He had a career low 106 rushing yards.

It’s been reported that he may stay in the Big Apple, as the Jets have a contract made for him. Furthermore, there is a path to become an analyst on TV. There are plenty of successful QBs on the TV. Most of these QBs are over 40 years old and not below 40 years old and washed up.

Wilson should be thankful that Malcolm Butler no longer plays in the league. I’m sure he has nightmares of the former Patriots CB that intercepted him on the goal-line and prevented Wilson from winning his second Super Bowl. If Wilson sought out wisdom from Eli Manning and Nick Foles on how to beat the Patriots, he may have come away with a victory.

Wilson may have only won one Super Bowl ring, but he is also fifth in passer rating of all time. He also has 9 playoff victories. Wilson also isn’t finished yet. He could build up his resume by winning more playoff games with the Jets.

Could A-Rod go to the Cardinals?

Will A-Rod go to the Cardinals soon?

By: Jake Rajala

There has been a lot of speculation that the gypsy/quarterback Aaron Rodgers could go to the Arizona Cardinals. It’s not a surprise given they have more hippie festivals than most states. He is a free agent, so he has a chance to look for the best fit.

Rodgers should look closely for the right team. He will want to have more success his second time around with a team (such as the Steelers) other than the Packers. He will want to look for similar success as other, wise, pocket passers like Peyton Manning and Tom Brady had with teams that didn’t draft them. Of course, Manning won a Super Bowl with the Broncos and Brady won a SB with the Bucs.

The Cardinals witnessed former Hall of Fame QB Kurt Warner bring them to the Super Bowl. A-Rod can’t let someone come from the grocery store (such as Warner) bring them all the way to a Super Bowl and fail to bring home the Lombardi. Rodgers will clearly have to take the next step with the Cardinals.

Warner isn’t the only Hall of Fame-caliber player to seek out AZ in his remaining days. The first ballot Hall of Famer, J.J. Watt went to the Cardinals. Granted, he went there to die. In 2022 (otherwise known as Watt’s last season with the Cardinals), the Cardinals went 4-13.

So, what would it take for Rodgers to buy in on the Cardinals? After all, he loved the future Hall of Fame head coach, Mike Tomlin, in Pittsburgh. In Arizona, they have a head coach that is younger than Sean McVay.

Jacoby Brissett, also known as my fantasy QB, is the current Cardinals QB. Rodgers threw 24 touchdowns, while Brissett threw 23 TDs. Rodgers had a 65.7 completion percentage and Brissett had a 64.9 completion percentage.

The key difference between the two is A-Rod went 10-6 and Brissett 1-11 last season.

Rodgers has to be happy that the Cards don’t only have Marvin Harrison Jr and Trey McBride, but they also took Jeremiyah Love third overall in 2026. It could be the best RB-WR-TE trio that he has ever had.

Reflecting on the Top-10 picks of the 2023 NFL Draft

Top-10 picks of the 2023 NFL Draft

By: Jake Rajala

The 2023 NFL Draft was fascinating to say the least. In particular, the Top-10 picks have been intriguing. With that said, I’m going to reflect on each pick in the Top-10.

Bryce Young

The 5’10 QB Bryce Young is slightly more gifted than the 5’10 QB Johnny Manziel. That still hasn’t stopped him from being 14-30 as a starter. It’s blasphemy that the former Bama QB (Young) is a starting QB and fellow Alabama QB Mac Jones is a backup QB!

CJ Stroud

CJ Stroud peaked as a rookie (as he threw a career-high 23 touchdowns in his rookie season). He also unleashed several turnovers in two games in the past playoff gauntlet. He has gone 3-3 in the playoffs. Tom Brady wins a few games each time he makes the playoffs!

Will Anderson Jr.

It’s hard to pick apart the richest non-QB in NFL history, Houston Texans edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. Anderson Jr. picked a good time to record 12 sacks and 20 tackles for loss. Anderson Jr. is everything they expected Jadeveon Clowney to be.

Anthony Richardson

Anthony Richardson is an athletic freak, but that doesn’t mean it translates to success on the field. Xavier Worthy broke the 40 yard dash record, but he’s not a Pro Bowl WR. Well, Richardson ran a 4.43 40 yard dash and he’s not even worthy of starting. He doesn’t have the same passing ability and football mind as former Colts QBs Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck.

Devon Witherspoon

The Seahawks CB Devon Witherspoon may not be the next former Hawks CB Richard Sherman, but he is a stud! He has made three straight Pro Bowls. He only played in 12 games last season and that didn’t hold him back from shining. He had a PFF grade of 89.9, which was first among CBs!

Paris Johnson Jr.

The Cardinals Paris Johnson Jr hasn’t played like an All-Pro, but he has progressed each season. He had a PFF grade of 76.6. He couldn’t save his Yoda-like QB from getting injured, however.

Tyree Wilson

Tyree Wilson is from the land of Alaska! The former Raiders edge rusher only had 4 sacks a season ago, which was less than half of Maxx Crosby’s total sack mark (10). Of course, he was traded to the Saints. He will likely replace Cameron Jordan and play alongside Chase Young and Carl Granderson.

Bijan Robinson

Bijan Robinson is arguably the best player on offense drafted up to this point. He has proven to be better than former Falcons RBs Michael Turner and Devonta Freeman. The only issue I have with him is that he used a gay slur. It was similar to Riley Cooper using the n word.

Jalen Carter

Jalen Carter decided to turn it up in the playoffs. I’d like to see him play 100% in each regular season game. He has a similar motor to the legendary NHL player Alexander Ovechkin, who is up and down. Carter was still vital to the Eagles Super Bowl run. I wouldn’t say he’s as polished as former Eagles DT Fletcher Cox just yet.

Darnell Right

It’s hard to criticize this pick. Darnell Right fit in well with the Bears. They were able to beef up their OL and get their franchise QB in Caleb Williams in the 2024 NFL Draft. Right had a PFF grade of 84.1 last season.
